How Do Robots Help The Elderly Age In Their Own Communities?

Despite technological advancements that make it easier for seniors to remain at home rather than relocate to a care facility, there is still a long way to go. Most older folks will eventually require assistance with basic duties such as food shopping and cleaning.

They can’t do all the work themselves. Growing data suggests that it is neither sustainable nor beneficial for Elderly Age or their loved ones to continue to do so. As the demand for professional caregivers develops, it is projected that the job gap will widen even further.

How to interact with them? Our robot careers won’t come to life unless we make them easy to use and understand. And this means that the way people interact is essential. Robots can communicate with humans by conversing with them at my lab.

Fortunately, Pew Research Center research demonstrates that older folks, like everyone else, are embracing technology more and more. Now that Robots are capable of some jobs, experts like Janay  Beer are taking a closer look.
